As directed by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to observe “My First Day At School” on Tuesday 19th January, 2021, the Member of Parliament for Ejisu Constituency Hon. John Ampontuah Kumah made some donations to some schools in his constituency on his visit.
“On Tuesday January 19, 2020, I donated uniforms, educational materials and extra PPE’s to the Ejisu Municipal Education Directorate on commemoration of the “My First Day At School” program across the Constituency.” Hon. John Ampontuah Kumah
The items are meant to facilitate effective teaching and learning in all beneficiary schools and also to ensure that our kids in the schools are protected from Covid-19 as they pursue their education.
I used the opportunity to tour basic schools in the Constituency and to further access their readiness for studies as well as to check the Covid protocols instituted by the schools.
Overall, I donated 1,200 school uniforms ( 600 for boys and 600 for ladies), pencils, exercise books plus other stationeries and PPE’s to Ejisu Experimental School, Besease Primary & JHS, Manhyia M/A Primary School, Donaso M/A primary school among several others.
I will continue to monitor situations in schools in the Ejisu Constituency and pledge to ensure that our schools are safe for our kids as they study.
